Novawell completes the inspection of insulated flowlines, XTs and Well Jumpers offshore Angola

Luanda, Angola – March 2017

Novawell has successfully completed the inspection of insulated subsea production flowlines, XTs pipework and Well Jumpers on a deepwater oil field offshore Angola.

Connected and operated subsea by Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), the inspection tool deployed by Novawell enabled for assesssing the remaining wall thickness of subsea flowlines, XTs pipework and Well Jumpers through up to 250 mm syntatic insulation without any line shutdown or impact on production.

Novawell’s subsea inspection tools enable the inspection of live subsea production systems’ pipework which is not accessible to ILI pigs (eg: XT pipework, manifold pipework, well jumpers…). They are also successfully used to inspect critical areas of subsea pipelines, enabling to reduce the frequency of very costly and time consuming ILI pigging.
